ENVI EX Applications in Disaster Management and Monitoring

In the last issue of our newsletter, we introduced ENVI EX, the image processing software for GIS users. One of the application fields of GIS and ENVI EX is disaster management and monitoring. Remote sensing data plays an important role in managing recovery efforts after natural disasters. We would like to draw your attention to an interesting article published in GeoConnexion International magazine about this important topic in today's world.

One of the main features of ENVI EX is the integration with ArcGIS, the leading GIS software. Imaging Notes magazine discusses the integration of remotely sensed image data and GIS and the advantages that arise for users of geospatial data in this article.

CREASO Consulting Services team supports development of TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X

The Consulting Services Team at CREASO has been supporting the development and operation of the earth-observation satellite TerraSAR-X at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) since 2004 by developing IDL-based software. Our team of consultants is now also involved in the TanDEM-X project. The new TanDEM-X satellite together with TerraSAR-X will measure earth's surface stereoscopically and will generate a high-resolution digital elevation model of the Earth’s surface.

One of our cooperation partners at DLR is the Microwaves and Radar Institute. We have developed applications for the calibration of SAR images and many other tools for the daily work in the institute.

We are looking forward to the successful launch of the TanDEM-X satellite and a fruitful continuation of the cooperation with our partners.

Do you need help with one of your software projects or would you like to outsource part of your development? Contact us today in order to discuss the possibilities of collaboration with our team of experienced consultants.
